My thoughts exactly... a rule of thumb is:  all their albums with the "no synths" note are the good ones.

When I finally got a hold of I and II (mid 80's) they also became favourites, II being more consistent, IMHO. Sheer Heart Attack is a great harder rock album... But for some odd reason I didn't spin it too often... 

The Game is the interface... Two good songs "Crazy little thing..." and "Save me"... which I think were "no synth" '79 singles then included in the The Game, which is better known for "The Game" and mostly "Another one bites the dust"...bahhh...

I still bought some of the following lp's hopping there'd be a inflexion in output quality, Flash Gordon, no good, "Hot Space"...with "Las palabras de amor"...that did it for me... CUT!

Maybe Innuendo did have its moments... but I never bought it...
