I read that on CNN online. I was a big Cockrum fan back in the day. He was supremely talented.

The headline on CNN was, I thought, in really bad taste:

"X-Men illustrator dies in Superman pajamas."

And the lead for the story was even worse:

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (AP) -- Wearing Superman pajamas and covered with his Batman blanket, comic book illustrator Dave Cockrum died Sunday.

I understand that catchy headlines and leads get people to read stories, and I'm not saying that what he was wearing wasn't a relevant point to bring up in the story, but that headline and lead suggest that Cockrum was crazy, when in fact, he was a victim of ongoing problems relating to diabetes.

All I'm saying is, Cockrum is somebody's husband and son, and this is no way to treat him with respect.
