I'll take that as a compliment! :-) I am both a product of and contributor
to the Canadian music fabric.

I've been working on my third solo album called "Nightmare @ 20,000 Watts"
(a title paraphrased from my ever fanatical devotion to all things Twilight
Zone....f'rinstance, my current album is named after the Burgess Meredith
episode "Time Enough At Last").

The concept of the new record is that of a "final broadcast" sometime in the
not-so-distant-future at the last standing terrestrial radio station which
will be complete with DJ voice-overs, commercials and songs I've either
written or co-opted from other skilled songwriters. Most of the album is
complete.

I experimented with several noteworthy cover tunes including Paul Anka's
"This Is Your Song" which was actually a hit in '74 for American singer Don
Goodwin. I've also re-written Reunion's "Life Is A Rock" as "Life Is A
Canadian Rock" making the song wholly Canuck. But the novelty of the two
tracks (and their age) don't really work particularly well with the concept
of the album.

So....my fourth release (probably 2008) will be nothing but obscure,
charting Canadian cover tunes and I'll be calling it "The Monsters Are Due
on MAPL Street" :-)
