Not a swell recording, true, but two words make this album classic for me: TERRY WILLIAMS. His drumming drives Knopfler and Co.right off a cliff and keeps 'em flying.

me away (Mel Collins >genuflect<), the recording quality was extremely
disappointing. To my ear it isn't that it's particularly over-ambient as
in the case of some live recordings... rather it seems to suffer from
either an extreme lack of low frequencies or an extreme prevalence of
high frequencies.
I wonder if there's a plan in the works to try to improve the quality
and re-release it. Or perhaps this has already been done. Or perhaps the
LPs sound better than the CDs. Anybody know?
