I think Ys is captivating.  But your tolerance of her voice is likely
to be related to your exposure to (and enjoyment of) similar
vocalists.  If you like Bjork, Emiliana Torrini, or even Camille, I
think you're going to be better prepared to enjoy this record.   I
wasn't overly enamoured with her first album, but Ys is extremely
relaxing and expansive, I think.  Very disappointed I failed to get
tickets for her show at the Barbican with the London Symphony
Orchestra.
