and I suppose I should also plug a little project I've been a part of:  http://cdbaby.com/cd/gastronomical -- runs the gamut from a to b, sincere originals to goofy Weird Al/TMBG flavor stuff.  Something for almost every other person.  This collection spans some 13 years of efforts, and it sounds like it might've taken twice as long.

Aimee Mann's got a new Christmas CD, "One More Drifter in the Snow", available on eMusic.  May not qualify as an unexplored corner, but it's worth mentioning.
