I always enjoyed the melody of my home phone number as a kid
(885-5442)...kind of reminded me of the beginning of "Turning Japanese" with
less notes...

Michael Vg asked:
Wasn't it Barry Gibb who said he got the idea for the
beat in either Staying ALive or Nights on Broadway from
the sound the car tires made crossing the Brooklyn Bridge?
you can find music almost anywhere.
Another Michael replies:
I believe the song is "Jive Talking". The guitar riff for that record was
inspired
by that sound. Memory doesn't tell me if it was Barry, Robin or Maurice
that
was inspired by the drive across the bridge. I've heard the story told by
more
than one of them. It was mentioned on VH-1's "Storytellers" too. I
always
thought that was the coolest story about song inspiration.
