One of the year's best albums. Beautiful, spacious and pastoral, the album
mixes folk rock basics with melodic craft that, at times, reminds me of top
flight soft pop. The playing is warm, the vocals are very good, and the
lyrics...they fit the music perfectly. At times, this sounds like a '70s
album, but little things show that it's more modern (like on the haunting
"Young Bride", the bass player sounds like he took lessons from New Order's
Peter Hook). Great stuff.
