Obviously every artist has the option to express himself however he sees fit (yeah, I'm using the generic, tho' some find politically-incorrect, 'masculine'), but when he expresses himself politically, he has to expect to take some shit.

When Eddie Vedder puts on his Bush mask and makes his remarks, he should expect, not be shocked at, vitrolic statements from the crowd. His idea that out of 15,000 people, ALL of them would agree with his views, is preposterous.

If everyone agreed with Donald Rumsfeld, this country would suck.
If everyone agreed with Babra Streisand, this country would suck.

Dissent is the fuel of this country's engine, people.
