Actually, I do own records from both the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Though I am
happy to report, I don't own anything by U2.

While I recognize and understand that a lot of music is politically driven;
what I don't like is knowing that dollars I spend on a record or CD are
directly going to fund political parties and causes with which I am
adamantly opposed. I love the Beatles, and I recognize that our political
viewpoints are polar opposites. They are masters and deserve attention for
reasons other than their political views, which I can look past and
appreciate what their music did for music, not politics or the state of our
world.

I suppose I should have been clearer in my original email. I do not
appreciate having to listen to bands or artists whine about how George Bush
is bringing them down.

I don't want to take the focus of the list away from the it's topic, that
being music, any longer...so for those who may want to argue this further,
please feel free to email me off list. I love a good argument. :-)
