I've heard good things about Delicious Library for the mac. You can find a
link to them in this list of essential mac software.

One thing this app does is allow you to scan the bar codes of your CDs,
dvds, etc, and it will take that info and look up the cd, tracks, etc, and
populate the database. It allows you to use a DV camera to scan the barcode
if you already own one, or you can buy a direct barcode reader or a wireless
bluetooth barcode reader. No matter what application I chose, personally I'd
look for this feature. The thought of scanning all 3000 of my cds one at a
time in the CDROM drive hurts my head...
