*That's an excellent moment: When you finally get over disliking good music for the wrong reasons.
I had a "Eureka" moment somewhere in the mid-90's when I went back and revisted quite a few bands I didn't like when they were popular, but a song or two would catch my ear and I'd find myself thinking "Damn, that's a good song!"
ELO, Cheap Trick, Bee Gee's, Hall and Oates, Al Stewart, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Ambrosia(and a few other guilty pleasures I refrain from mentioning! ;-) were all revelatory on second glance...
It was Jellyfish that blew me away enough to open me up and reignite myself to the pleasures of pop again.
