Let's Active Opening for REM at U. Penn's Irvine auditorium in 1983 - I was
a Freshman - It changed my life.
The Replacements at Penn's Houston Hall with Philly Hometown heroes The
Johnsons (one great album on Restless) - 1985.

saw that same tour, Lee. Elvis was supporting 'Mighty Like A Rose'.
On paper, a dream double bill, but the 'Mats were close to calling it a day
and were uninspired and uninspiring playing in a 'summer shed' (Great Woods
outside of Boston).
And Rose was a mediocre album, and EC looked ridiculous with beard. Also
felt like he was going thru the motions. And I forgot about the fact that it
wasn't the Attractions.
