Steve Wynn and The Continental Drifters at the Double Door Cafe in Charlotte 
in 1997.
Wynn did a set. The Drifters did a set, and they finished out the night 
crowding onto the Door's entirely too tiny stage.
Only months earlier, I'd seen Wynn at New London, Conn's dear and departed 
El 'n Gee Club, where I was one member of an audience of about 7 people. To 
my amazement, Wynn actually recalled meeting me at that show.
