I love Exploding Hearts, and yes, their accident was particularly tragic
- they really were just beginning to catch fire with their debut LP
around the time of the accident.
Some relatively good news about the band is that a compilation of their
odds and sods singles (including "Making Teenage Faces"), unreleased
material and such will be newly available next week, as it happens.
See http://www.punknews.org/article/18866 and
http://www.dirtnaprecs.com/zzz-32.htm for details, tracklisting, etc.
I can't decide whether it's really cool or just kinda sad, but a bonus
on the CD is a Quicktime video of five songs from their final show, at
Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, 7/17/03. There's a nice review of
GUITAR ROMANTIC at the Trouser Press site.
