I agree big time with those who have lauded Hilly Michaels' Calling All
Girls. A great album, especially that title track!

This is a TRUE story folks! I live in New Haven, Ct. and almost every
morning I used to see Hilly Michaels and his mother (?) at the Dunkin' Donuts
around the corner from where I used to live. Well, I had this box of old lps in
my car for months and months. Never looked at them. One day I go through
them and lo and behold, I was FLOORED....there is a copy of Calling All Girls
in the box. So I sheepishly put it on the front seat hoping he would see it.
One morning he was parked right next to me and he keeps looking at the
record sleeve on the front seat of my car. THIS IS TRUE! So finally one morning
he knocks on my window and says "Is this a joke? Do I know you from
somewhere? Are you busting my chops"? I told him the whole story and how I had seen
him play drums in Ian Hunter's band like 20 times etc etc. He was
flabbergasted at the coincidence.
