It depends on how much info you can handle! At over 500 pages of the most
amazing material about Neumann U-47's, Studer J-37's, Fairchild 660's and
whatnot, my brain is numb. For me it would be a bargain at twice the price.

It is my favorite book about the fab 4 ever but I reckon it's not for
everyone.

I should mention that the layout is superb, the printing very nice and there
are many, many never before published pictures of the Beatles and the
equipment they used. Apparently Geoff Emerick didn't help out very much, but
pretty much everyone else involed with EMI and Abbey Road Studios back then
did. Ken Scott has been pushing this book to anyone who'll listen for over a
year now, and Norman Smith, Ken Townsend, Brian Gibson and Phil McDonald
were very much involved.

In spite of the very technical information imparted it is wrtten in a manner
that is very easy to understand. I am amazed at how much they were able ot
accomplish with so little of what we in the recording world take for granted
these days.

It's not really a book about the personalities of the Beatles but I'm sure
you will understand their interpersonal relationships much better after
reading the book

Ps - I watched that Youtube video of the Beatles doing Ticket To ride live
at the NME thing. I dare any band in the world to pull that off without
monitors in front of a few thousand screaming fans.
