I must have joined around '97 or so..I was still teaching in Lipstick City
at that little university over near the airport..I remember I got the
coordinates from Jordy and Brian (one of our first scotsman on the list)
while standing in line outside the Roxy before a Redd Kross show (with
Sloan)..I remember going to Poptopia before IPO hit the town..I remember
rocking out to the Beat Angels with Mr Holmes and Anna before she made the
transition from dis-liking the Gladhands to liking the Glandhands..
I remember Mike, Anna and a few others walking with me through the snow on a
cold Minneapolis night to check out a Frisbee show..I remember Anna making
fun of my keg of Scope I had in my bathroom
I remember talks with Bruce B at various IPO shows, going to see Cheap Trick
with our fave IPO leader..I remember long talks with Amy Nyman..I remember
having breakfast with Walter Clevenger and his family after one long night
at IPO..
I remember my first SOTT tape trade..I remember John Borack..
yes..lots to remember..and while at times the list gets taken over by the
"Batty Man" crowd with their "Batty Man Music"...this place still rocks..
Now that I walk the path of righteousness that has been set forth by His
Imperial Majesty Emperor Selassie the FIRST..I can still make it down to see
what Babylon is doing..until more time
