Wow -- I think I've been on the list since 1997 -- and it's been great. The
posting isn't as active as it's heyday, which seems disappointing at times,
but it's natural. The heady days of the late '90s, when there was an
explosion of great pop and power pop records. While we're not having 50
posts a day, this is still a fun place to exchange opinions on various
musical things.
I've met dozens upon dozens of Auditeers over the years, and I now feel like
I have friends all over the world. There are simply so many cool people on
this list. The first IPO I attended in 2000 is probably the most
significant Audities related event in my life -- I was coming off a divorce,
totally bummed out, and immersed myself in the music that Audities clued me
into, and put faces to so many of the names that were posting at that time.
I needed a boost, and Audities played a ginormous part in giving me one.
Thanks, Michael, for getting this thing going and making it all possible.
Other things --
I saw Tommy Keene last night, and blogged about it:

Finally -- The Supers have a new album out -- I liked their last one (five
or six years ago??), but this is a step or two above that. Good mature,
adult power pop -- recent Gigolo Aunts covers somewhat similar turf. One of
the best pure Audities-type albums to come out this year, IMO (others
include Michael Carpenter and Marty Rudnick and a few I'm forgetting about
at this moment).
