You beat me to the punch. I just watched it last night and was
surprisingly impressed. I was expecting to fast-forward through it.
It struck me at the time as a song the Arcade Fire would do if they were
led by Burt Bacharach but Brian Wilson works as well.
What I was expecting and was struck by anyway was his resembalance to
John. He looked to me like a cross between "Hard Day's Night" chubby John
and "unshaven, lost weekend" John (but not much Yoko). Erie!
The album might be worth investigating.
