I'll be in Los Angeles next week for a brief stay - flying in Oct. 4th,
flying out on a redeye on Oct. 5th - and was wondering about the single best
record store to hit now that Aron's is no more; I hear good things about
Amoeba, but I didn't know if that praise was aimed mostly at the San
Francisco location.
Also, two other quickies: any non-Ticketmaster-advertised bands playing on
the 4th, and does anyone have any favorite restaurant they'd recommend I
hit? (Given that my schedule, I'll probably only have time for one really
good meal when I'm there.) I haven't been to Los Angeles since IPO '99 and
can't really recall any specific culinary highlights from that trip.
