I had a bad habit of - when hosting a gathering - and after a few
treats - would want to play 200 different songs for my guests.
Everyone acknowledges this as a massive personality flaw of mine. I'd
spend the next day resorting the 100 cds lying all over the living
room - and god help me if i tried to pull the 45's in their flimsy
cardboard box off the top shelf of the closet.
Now I can sit in my favorite chair with my notebook - maintain a
playlist with iTunes, send the music to my good stereo with
AirportExpress and everyone knows what I'm playing by using the second
monitor out to the tv where I display the cover art with JewelCase (
http://www.opticalalchemy.com/products.html ). Much more relaxing -
and if someone has a request and I don't have it - we're off to iTunes
or eMusic or wherever to try to accomodate. Fun.
No cds in the car or at work or lying around the house anymore.
Everything is put away and easy to find. I Love it - nice to have a
home that doesn't look like a dorm room. And for portable I autofill
a couple of 512 shuffles.
