Subject OT: Need some early 80s British history from my UK pals

To those of you who remember the late 70s/early 80s English/London scene, 
what would you consider to be some of the main visual reminders of that 
time?

I'm working on a video project, and I need to do a short quick montage of 
big 70s/80s British things. I've already got a punk with a mohawk, a shot of 
Big Ben, stuff like that. It's all running in to Thatcher being elected.

But what would be other key things I could include as video bits that would 
define the turbulent and happy things about that time period in England?
