I don't seem to suffer any undue pain with mp3s but yes Bobby if not
*.wav, the IPOD does allow you to save to a lossless format. And with
the new 80Gb IPOD, that's still a lot of songs. I think Stewart posted
on this a while back and could give some sense of the expected capacity.
BTW, the big regret of 2006 was not getting to Portland to see you & Tim
late last month. Unfortuntely I have to play the hand I'm dealt (and
finish whatever games I've already signed on for!).

That is the absolute number one reason I don't have an iPod.
I absolutely hate the sound of mp3s - even those encoded with a very
high
bit rate. The high end swirly phase issues give me a headache in a
matter of
minutes.
But a question for all you iPodists - can you dump regular 44.1 16 bit
wav
files into it?
