Richard Keith wrote a song with the title "I'm A Lover Not A Fighter" back in
1962 which pre-dates Jackson. I dare the phrase pre-dates even that.
The Kinks had it as the title of song too (seventies I believe).
The Kinks' "I'm a Lover Not a Fighter" was a cover of Lazy Lester's 1958
Excello single, written by J.D. Miller. The Lazy Lester version positively
stomps the Kinks.
