Of course, I'm sure a lot of us have gone to our fair share of shows only to
see the support band. Thinking back --
Frisbie opening for Big Star. And I really enjoyed Big Star -- this was the
first time I saw Frisbie, who I had never heard of before that night.
Twice I've seen Iggy Pop. Both times, an opener took it to him. The first
time it was perhaps the original rock-in-espanol band, Mano Negra, whose
frontman Mano Chao was as wild as the Igster. The second time, The Dickies
stole the proceedings from both Ramones and Iggy.
Those are the first two who come to mind...
