And indeed, DEAD LIKE ME creator Bryan Fuller was the co-creator of WONDERFALLS (Tim Minear of ANGEL and FIREFLY, two series I luv luv luv, is the other WONDERFALLS co-conspiritor).
Despite WONDERFALLS lasting only 13 episodes (4 aired, if I recall) as opposed to two seasons of DEAD LIKE ME, I'd say it's DEAD LIKE ME only much better. I really liked the first season of DLM - cool characters, good acting, great premise - but thought the second season IMO failed to deliver on its promise. Maybe it's because Fuller was off doing WONDERFALLS and wasn't as active on DLM s2, dunno; just seems like they forgot to pick up on a lot of stuff. And gravelings were such a lame concept, urk.
WONDERFALLS was like they took my "DEAD LIKE ME woulda been great if..." list and did all of it.
I am never saying anything ever again about FREAKS AND GEEKS, at least not here. :)
later,
Miles
