The difference here is that, while Bob has been used generically, Joe Field
appeared as himself (a comic book store owner) in the Archie comic. There was
a character in DC's Hourman book, Officer Gary Lenin, that was named after
Gary Frenay and Arty Lenin of The Flashcubes (prompting Frenay to quip, "We used
to sing 'You're Not The Police,' now we ARE the police."), but it's not the
same as The Flashcubes teaming up with The Justice Society of America.
(That said, however, I've actually met both Bob Segarini and Robbie Rist, so
I can attest to them being real people; as far as I know, Joe Field may JUST
be a comic book character....)
Oh, and Ty Templeton's work on Stig's Inferno friggin' RULED.
