COMING TO TWIGGS: JAM RECORDS RECORDING ARTISTS
GLOWFRIENDS
"The Glowfriends veer toward the melancholy and have released a compelling,
well-crafted folk album. Sad and beautiful - sometimes concurrently - Leave
the Hall Light On (draws) favorable comparisons to Nick Drake (in
particular, Five Leaves Left) and the wonderful Colin Blunstone trilogy of
One Year, Ennismore, and Journey. But it also appears that Mark and April
perused long and hard through their dad's record collection, for it's
possible to hear the influences of Love (Forever Changes era), Nico, and
French chanteuse Francoise Hardy. " - Steve Thorn, San Diego Troubadour
PLUS A SPECIAL APPEARANCE FROM LEGENDARY MICHIGAN MUSICIAN
JEREMY MORRIS
"If you were to look up the definition of the word "prolific" in the
dictionary, it's likely you'd find a picture of Jeremy next to it. In
addition to the over 30 albums to his credit and dozens of compilation album
appearances on top of that, Morris still finds time run a label, JAM
Records, which doubles as one of the most important pop music distribution
websites in the world. Morris' music ranges from jangly folk to rock, with a
heavy emphasis on melody, somewhere between The Byrds and Yes. It's a
testament to his standing in the pop community that in 2004, Jam on Jeremy,
a tribute album featuring bands from across the U.S. was released. If you
are a fan of pop music in any form, don't miss this show! "- Alan Fleagle
