Subject Swag: are there two versions of this album?

Sorry if this was covered here before.

I bought the Swag cd 'Catch-All' soon after it came out. Now, this
friend of mine - who is a big Cheap Trick fan - bought one too, same
label, same catalog number (YEP 2023). Then, to our surprise, his cd is
very different from mine. He got that mostly because of Tom Petersson,
but for some reason his edition has very little of Tom on it. There is a
mention of Tom as one of the writers of three songs and that seems to be
all. It's like he was erased from the album. The insert photo was
replaced by another without him. His name was erased from the line up on
the back cover. The comments on tracks where he played were rewritten.
On 'You' the new comments say 'Todd Rundgren guests on bass'. Even parts
of the front cover (like Tom with a gun on Dream Police) have been hidden.

I presume that some kind of contractual problem might have caused this.

I still didn't listen to this new edition, but just by looking at the
whole thing I suspect that even a 'Ozzy style' bass re-recording thing
might have happened on tracks were Tom originally played.

Would someone please help me clarify this?

Thanks!

Rafael.
