Okay, we're gonna hit the hype ONE TIME, real hard, and then stay out of your
face thereafter. JAM Recordings has just released the new Dana & Carl
compilation CD, THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO, VOLUME 2, and it fully lives up to the
giddy precedent set by Volume 1 last year.
The disc includes contributions from Chris Von Sneidern, Screen Test,
John Wicks & the Records, The Cowsills, Richard Barone, The BAR (Jim Babjak,
Danny Adlerman, Kurt Reil), The Fire Apes, astroPuppees, The Condors, The Charms,
Tim Anthony, Eytan Mirsky, The Shamus Twins, Cloud Eleven, Jim Basnight,
Raquel's Boys, Pop Is Art, Beauty Scene Outlaws, The Blondes, The Ringles, Lo &
the Magnetics, The Spongetones, Mr. Encrypto, The Lemon Clocks, The Grip Weeds
and The Dipsomaniacs. It all sounds TERRIFIC, which is a tribute to the
superb mastering job overseen by Jeremy Morris. We can take a little credit for
pulling the thing together, but even our humility-challenged egos must concede
that the compilation triumphs because of the consistent high quality of the
artists' contributions, and how Jeremy made 'em all sound their best.
The CD is now available at CD Baby (http://cdbaby.com/cd/rnrradio2), or
CD Baby: VARIOUS ARTISTS/DANA & CARL: This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 2,
with 2-minute sound samples for most tracks. You can also get it from JAM
(jamrecordings.com) and Not Lame (notlame.com), with more presumably to follow.
If you wanna use PayPal, you can buy it directly from me for $13 postpaid in
the USA, or $20 for both Volumes 1 and 2, to ccdatsme@aol.com; please contact
me to inquire about shipping outside the USA.
We're stoked; the CD came out great, and we think a lot of you are gonna
dig it. Hype's over!
Cheers, CC!
