Some of them have been reissued three or four times...or more. I began buying the imports of some of them, including Honky Chateau, when they first came out in the early days of CDs. I've probably upgraded that one three or four times over the years.

I remember in the old Tower Pulse e-mail newsletter, there was a hubbub about the last round of EJ catalog reissues from England, and somebody said that they weren't going to buy them as a matter of principle. My thought was, I don't want to cut off my nose to spite my face, so I bought most of them (1993-ish?). They still sound pretty good to me, although they could be louder, but if they were remastered in this day and age, they'd probably sound better just on the basis of newer mastering technology. But would it be worth it to me to buy them again? I don't know; I'd have to hear them to be sure.

I just got the Japanese 2006 remaster of 10cc's Windows in the Jungle. I have two older CDs of this album, one of my favorites from the group, and both of them sound absolutely lifeless. The new reissue, one of the mini-LP style reissues, is absolutely killer, with great, tight bass and a crisp high-end. And there are six or seven bonus tracks, including a b-side I'd never heard before. So this is my third purchase of this album. Would I buy a fourth? They'd really have to make it worth my while! Perhaps a separate disc of outtakes?
