I think a lot of the "hits" have been named, but lemme just put this out there...
To me, some of the *best* (and you might disagree, I realize) "soft pop" was
made by groups who didn't really have "hits" and that's what makes discovering
them that much sweeter -- David Bash, if he ever posted here again, would
probably agree and offer up a whole bunch of suggestions as well, but since
he doesn't come around here much....let me just say this: you might wanna
check out groups (apoligizing ahead of time if I missed mention of these)
like Twinn Connexxion, Thomas & Richard Frost, Bit-A Sweet, the Millenneum,
the Love Generation, Eternity's Children, West Coast Consortium, Colours,
Bergen White, and probably a hundred or a thousand more....
If you can track 'em down, the Spiritual Obscurities comps, the Fading Yellow
comps, and the Rhino Soft Pop Nuggets (Handmade) comps are a good place
to start as well...
