Do you mean: "Have people stopped buying CDs online?" because all
physical CD sales are down (even though they're on an upswing from just
a few years ago, compared to the ratio of CD sales at that time). If you're
asking about "stuff" in general, I haven't read or heard that -- to me it seems
like e-tailers like Amazon are increasing sales by adding new products, 
etc. If you're asking if all brick-n-mortar retail stores are holding steady,
I don't think you can safely apply that to stores that primarily sell CDs, 
music in general (the situation with Tower Records, and the closing of
stores like Arons here in L.A. are evidence of that). 

I can tell you that digital sales of music is tapering off a bit but major labels
are still reporting increases in digital sales because the amount of titles
are increasing -- it's just that the volume of those individual titles' sales is
down a bit from last year, but it'll pick up again at Christmas time...in the
U.S. at least.
