Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Head written and conceived by Jack Nicholson? It certainly falls in to the genre of the "1960's movie" -- right in there with Casino Royale Beyond the Valley of Dolls et al. Why am I thinking of "Laugh-in" all the sudden...
***Nicholson also wrote "The Trip," which I saw two weeks ago as part of a double bill with "Easy Rider." Peter Fonda stars in and Roger Corman directs this big screen version of an acid trip. It's rather dated and doesn't have much of a plot other than Fonda having psychedlic visions but it does have shots filmed on the Sunset Strip circa 1967 and a very young Gram Parsons with the International Submarine Band.
