Hi Jim--I think I saw that Twilley performance on a Friday evening preview
on CBS of the new fall 1977 Saturday morning kiddie lineup on eye network.

Do you remember a TV performance of Dwight, Phil and Petty performing
"Chance to Get Away" ?

Did Dwight ever appear on American Bandstand?

Saw Twilley twice in the 70s. One was at a convention of Arista execs at the
Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. Back then, the back covers of Twilley
albums didn't tell which songs were sung by Dwight or Phil. Naturally, I was
floored by how many lead vocals Phil took that night and what a great singer
he was.

The second time was at San Diego State University's Backdoor concert hall.
Dwight was on the road in promotion of the TWILLEY album, his third album
and the first one after the boys split. Dwight was in his Elvis element at
the time, performing "His Latest Flame" and "Baby I Don't Care."

Phil's post-Twilley single, "Precious to Me," was a big hit in California. I
remember driving from San Diego to Eureka and every radio market was playing
the heck out of it.

Phil's swan song, contributing a stellar track to the Bee Gees tribute CD,
MELODY FAIR, was a great way for him to leave this mortal coil. Bobby
Sutliff is right: two great guys!

Steve
