Sam,
Maybe you remember the preacher before the song because you taped the song
off a radio station once upon a time.
I know that clip well, and I don't think it's Billy Graham. I'm pretty sure
it was a preacher who frequented college campuses in the 80's -- I seem to
remember his name was..Brother Jed?
WRFL (student-run radio) at the University of Kentucky played that clip (and
several others by the same preacher) constantly while I attended and for
many years after. If I were you, I would start with college student-run
stations.
I probably have it taped off the radio somewhere, and I can check some of my
old cassettes. If I do find it, the sound quality is going to be crap.

Okay, somebody here is bound to know this one. There's a song I'm trying
to find. I think it's the lead track on Seed's 1994 release, which I
once owned but either sold or traded. The track begins with what I guess
is an actuality of a preacher railing against the evils of rock and
roll. The clip begins with "what is...rock music?" And concludes with
something like "hammer hammer hammer hammer [something] into the minds
of youth." Or something along those lines. The preacher may be Billy
Graham, but I can't swear to it.
Is this ringing any bells with anybody? I need the actuality moreso than
the song, although the song may be the only place I can lay my hands on
the clip.
Thanks in advance for your help.
