Hi Paul Myers, hope your move goes well and no-one emails ya ;-)
Someone mentioned The Chords, they were a decent mod-pop band, kinda
riding the coat-tails of the early Jam in 79/80. There is a good Chords
2cd anthology available, but truth be told, apart from some of the
singles, a lot of the tracks haven't worn well -the singing sounds
forced and the songwriting is juvenile pastiches of Jam/Kinks/Small
Faces/Who. Some of the cover versions are VERY poorly sung. Having
said that, a few of the singles are decent: "Maybe Tomorrow",
"Something's Missing", "British Way of Life", "Turn Around Again".
Probably worthy of a listen.
Anyone hear the new Muse -very twiddly prog rock, but strangely, I like it!
Bob
