So I guess Adam Schlesinger and Brian Young of Fountains of Wayne both perform on the
upcoming record by AMERICA, to be released this October.
The album, entitled "Here And Now", was produced by Schlesinger and James Iha (ex-Smashing
Pumpkins) and also features guest appearances by Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller, Nada Surf, My
Morning Jacket, and others.
from the press release:
"The double CD set will include one CD of newly recorded songs as well as a separate disc
of America’s classic hits, recorded live at XM Radio as part of XM’s “Then…Again…Live!”
series. The live CD replicates their entire History Greatest Hits album which has sold
over 7 million copies worldwide."
