I miss a magazine called "hUH" that I got into right before my move to CA in
1995. It was like CMJ, full of eclectic reviews and packed each month with a
sampler CD. I heard about Velocity Girl and many other great bands through
that mag. It was slickly produced and well written. Apparently they got
sold, bought out, or something. The subscription passed to another company
(who lost my record of renewal payment and sent a collection company after
me!... for $15!...), and they eventually just dried up.
Now I stick with CMJ, but I still fondly recall getting those hUH mags in
the mail every month.
Any other RIP music mags out there you used to live by?
