Hi,
I saw a preview of Cirque du Soleil "The Beatles LOVE". George Martin and his son Giles prepared the music, they selected some alternate takes and mixes and also mashed songs together. Great! The sound quality was almost impossible to describe! I swear that on "Come Together" it sounded at one point that John Lennon was singing in the row behind me. The show opened with a completely a cappela mix of "Because". I am a bit less enthusiastic about the dancing, it was like the acid trip I never had, but the acrobats were very energetic.
They used the interview of John saying the Beatles were bigger than Jesus, and an actor posed as Jesus on the cross, head bent as in the portraits. Done to excess, like many things in the show. Sir Paul saw the show on Thursday, when asked about what he thought, it is not true that he answered "ka-ching", but the least expensive t-shirt was $36.
See ya,
Sherman
