Roaring out of the Minus 5's "In Rock" album is this insanely catchy "Dr.
Evil:Doctor of Evil".With it's cheesy organ this retro-sounding song just
burns.Way fun lyrics to boot.
'Just when you think he's did his last
he'll rise up with the future past
he'll gass you and pass you
your head in a martini glass"
Oh yes,that is fun stuff.A terrific wiry guitar blast and some pounding
drums and it is gone in a nifty 3 minutes and 30 seconds.Ain't rock grand.
Of course the late John Candy comes to mind playing Dr.Evil on SCTV with
those fake 3D effects.What fun that was and lives on in dvd.
Seek it out.The whole album is cool.Wasn't even supposed to happen as the
liner notes point out.But this song will rock you into a good place and
brighten your day as only Scott McCaughey and co. can do.I guarantee.
