rick, i'd definitely say "axiomatic" is a grower.

first spin, i was intrigued by two songs, and even found "oh yeah" mildly annoying.

fifth spin, i was getting into those two songs, and warming up to the rest.

tenth spin, i found something to like in 80% of the disc, and my favorite song(s) had already changed.

twentieth spin, i'm liking 90% of "axiomatic" a LOT, and i now hear what they're doing with "oh yeah," so of course it's no longer annoying. except maybe to my wife, who gets to hear it in heavy rotation on the bedroom ipod/bose.

i bet if you play this cd in the background a while, you may change your mind.

then again, maybe not... i couldn't stand jason falkner's second disc, "can you still feel." and the more i played it, the more i hated it.

that's why they make MOUNDS -and- ALMOND JOY!

I guess your mileage may vary on this...

I can't stand the newest Taxiride (Axiomatic). I can't hear anything
resembling a hook anywhere on the disc. To these ears, the best song on the
disc (Oh Yeah, I guess) is weaker than anything on Garage Mahal. Upon
hearing this mess, I really thought it might've been written in some
drug-induced haze because it captures none of the creative pop instinct that
characterizes Garage Mahal or Imaginate.

Not trying to start a fight, just my two cents...

Best,
Rick
