New Loud Family? Did I miss discussion of this? I
thought Scott Miller had hung it up! What's the word?
And also, just so I'm not simply asking people to
repeat a discussion that already may have taken place,
I'd strongly recommend the new Camera Obscura record,
'Let's Get Out of This Country.' More charming,
energetic pop songs from Tracyanne Campbell and co.
If you are a fan of Belle & Sebastian, with a little
bit of girl group and a hint of Motown thrown in, you
should like Camera Obscura.
The lead single, "Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken,"
also has been released with two non-album tracks that
are well worth the additional purchase, one paying
tribute to the Everly Brothers (the lead track itself,
of course, paying tribute to another well-loved
"mature" popsmith).
