The Dutch band Johan, famous for two critically acclaimed albums released in 1996 and 2001, has a new album out.

It's an album very much in the same vein as its predecessors; so great melodies, arrangements and harmonies, and I am sure many here on the list will enjoy.

You can check out/stream the album here: http://www.johan4all.com/

Another Dutch recommendation I can make is the band August75. It's a band by two members of the (now defunct) band The Dollybirds, who released a punkpop/power pop album in 2002.
This album is NOT in the same vein as the Dollybirds. It's much more singer-songwriter orientated. You can find two samples here (http://www.august75.com/listen.php), but the best track on the album isn't among the samples yet. It's the song Seven Ways, which mixes some folk and pop influences with some Kraftwerk riffs.

And other bands and records (non-Dutch) I can recommend are Mohair and The Feeling. Two British bands who just have released and are on the verge of releasing recommendable albums. Check out their MySpace pages for some of their songs ( www.myspace.com/mohairmusic, www.myspace.com/thefeeling ).
