Ah, Dave Egan. I didn't know him very well, but he was a good pal of my co-DJ
Dana, and we dedicated the first THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO CD to his memory
(along with Greg Shaw, Joey Ramone and Rick McBrien).
Gotta say, I don't remember Alan all that well (except for the fact that
he once introduced me to Myrna Macarian [sp?] from The Human Switchboard,
since they were apparently friends. I do recall that our dealings were at least
cordial, but I was even more clueless then than I am now, so he coulda been
rude to me and I didn't even realize it....)
I do remember another guy who worked at Desert Shore, and who wound up
taking over the store when Alan left. Can't remember his name (though I
certainly should), but I do remember us having a strong but respectful difference
of opinion on The Sex Pistols (whom I loved and he hated). Cheers, CC!
