As a veteran of Boston record stores, I can tell you that without a
doubt the most obnoxious owner I've run into is the owner of Cheapo
Records in Cambridge. I suppose his life is so miserable that he
feels the need to badmouth customers as soon as they leave the store
as well as his employees. Since his store is in the hood of
Cambridge, he insists on having all bags be kept behind his counter.
The first (and only) time he did this to me I asked for a ticket or a
number. His response? "How 'bout '4'?" What a meat slap. Last time I
went there. Talk about service with a snarl.
Matt
