I don't give a hang about rude people - except by noting there are too many.
Now, the grrreeeaatest (sic Tony Tiger), dedicated, nicest, enthusiastic record
store owner/collector/lover of vinyl I've met in my meager life was John Swain,
Raleigh, North Carolina (RIP). I'm sure you knew someone like him in your home
town, but he was my musical encyclopedia, forgot more about records than I'll
ever know (turning a Dylan phrase), was generous with his time & knowledge to
a T, would dig out records you'd never heard just to blow your mind, and always
a fair trader (ie store credit).
His store was called The Record Hole, although I first met John when he sold
via Goldmine. Here's to you John Swain!
PS: My daughter got married today, and the groom's band from high school did
a reunion set @ the reception, opening with rocking cover of "I'm Gonna Be
(500 Miles)" by the Proclaimers. Scots kick ass!
