Been listening to the Sweet/Hoffs CD, and enjoying it massively. Its worth
the price of admission just to hear Susanna do Different Drum - gives me
goose bumps. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, every song is good if
not great - it plays like your favorite best of 60s/early 70s mix tape.
Somehow they manage to pay homage to the originals yet make them their own.
One of the best covers albums I've ever heard.

On the flip side, I dusted off some old Willie Wisely after enjoying his
recent Parador CD. Put Parlez Vous Francais by the Willie Wisely trio, and
couldn't believe it was the same guy. The second song in, Cannot Love You
Enough, is a great catchy pop song, but the rest is IMO very aimless and
forgettable. Next up are She and Turbosherbet - hopefully they'll fare
better.

Also on the changer - Queen (the recent discussion got me jazzed to revisit
them), and The Who Live At Leeds!
