> Favorite record store owners I would have to go with my old buddy Mark Geller from Records Plus out on Long Island, they were a short lived off shoot of Record Stop in Lake Ronkonkoma, I also got to know Bruce from Record Stop pretty well and still stop in occasionally. Not the place it use to be back in the 80's at the peek of the new wave era and we hung around checking out new stuff as it came in, but there are many good memories from both SU and later Records Stop.

When I lived in Smithtown, I used to love going to Record Stop - Bruce had a fabulous collection of imports and I was always amazed at the number of Beatles bootlegs he had in stock! Thanks for bringing up the memories. Was Records Plus also located in Ronkonkoma? Didn't know that place...

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned J.D. Martignon of Midnight Records in NYC. From what I've heard, he was a nasty guy.

Joe Hanna has a super record/CD store in Bethlehem, PA named Play It Again. Kind of a cantankerous fellow, but he certainly stocks lots of quality stuff, especially the great mid-80's Aussie releases (Citadel, etc.), as well as the many releases by local faves The Original Sins.

Be seeing you,
Bill
